Wow, I really wish I would have checked the reviews before coming here. My space bar on my 2017 MacBook Pro got jammed, and I removed it following instructions on how to do so. When it still DIDNT work after replacing it, I called Apple who advised me this model has a recall on the space bar butterfly key and to take it to any authorized technician to get a free replacement. This was the closest place, so I dropped it off for replacement and was advised they would get it back to me within a day or two. That evening, I got a call that it would be SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS to be replaced, which includes EIGHTY DOLLAR AN HOUR technician fee. I'm sorry, but I'm a nurse practitioner who can save a life and I don't even make that much. I advised them I'd be taking it to Apple who will replace it for FREE. Upon picking up the laptop, I was charged over thirty dollars for a freaking DIAGNOSTIC FEE!!! What company doesn't give free quotes?!?! Apparently this joke of an establishment. Over thirty dollars to plug my computer in and diagnose a problem that I could have told you already existed?!? Are you kidding me? I clarified this price and that Apple does not even charge this (who has much more experienced technicians) and he replied with "well we aren't Apple..." save your money. I'm beyond livid I wasted a two hour drive each way from my home to get here. Any decent establishment would at least warn you up front of charges and not price gouge and hide fees from customers. I'm so disappointed.
