Without a doubt the Barnes Foundation holds the largest collection of Impressionist art. It's designed to mimic the flow of display when the collection was housed in the Barnes mansion in Lower Merion, right down to the lighting (artificial and natural). Dr Barnes designed the display to primarily focus on visual relationships both other pieces as well as the placement within each "gallery." This is a not to be missed stop if you're visiting Philadelphia or if you live in the area.
