I've been to the country club multiple times including having my wedding reception here, many Mother's Day brunches and for business occasions. I feel the food is very hit-and-miss. For example, Mother's Day brunches were fantastic. Great food, friendly staff and beautifully decorated tables as well as gorgeous ice sculptures at the buffet Etc. Wedding reception was okay, mistakes were made and I was not made aware of it until the day of the wedding when we showed up and made the club aware it was not set up to our specifications such as the wine, cheese and grape table. They claimed they couldn't. The various items that were prepaid for and expected. Upon clean up some of the items that were rented from the florist were thrown away leaving us responsible financially With the florist. Specifically, we had rented vases that held the wedding bouquets on the edge of the head table so they could be used as decoration as well as holding them in place while we ate, Dance Etc. At the end of the evening when people were collecting items to be returned we found they were missing. When it was reported the only response we got was it's possible they were accidentally thrown away when staff was clearing the table. There was no further assistance or help offered nor was there an offer for the club to replace the missing items their staff had discarded. another occasion while attending a benefit breakfast for the minds of all kinds which is an annual benefits to help the private school for kids with autism. I understand the menu is preselected by the school and the club is only there to prepare and serve. However, after two years of the same food served which was a quiche, fresh fruit and coffee. Either quality had gone down or the club could not figure out how to keep food warm. What we were served was less than expected, very mediocre and barely warm. Wait staff had a hard time keeping the coffee pots full and creamers available 4 tables of 10 to 12 people. I've never golfed the course so I can't comment on that. However, hopefully things have improved over the last couple years. My recommendation would be if planning an event would be to triple check everything prior to the event as well as tasting you food prior to making your selection. This may be an extra cost if I remember correctly. However, it would be worth it in the long run. Also you should take note in the event of something such as a wedding reception you are responsible 4 any meals even if they were not prepared and served for people who didn't show but rsvp'd. Also, in regards to alcohol wine in our case, but regardless if it's Champaign or hard liquor if I remember correctly if a bottle was opened you are responsible for the cost. I remember correctly that we ended up with charges and we're not allowed to take meals or bottles that were paid for even if requested. My guess is that staff enjoyed meals and beverages on our tab.
