The yeoman tour is excellent! However... We took the tour with 200 of our closest friends. Yes, it's packed with tourists (ourselves included) so be ready for people talking loudly while the yeoman is sharing information and pack your sharp elbows, because it gets crowded. The Yeoman themselves are hilarious and knowledgeable. The lineup for the crown jewels was long but moved quickly and was worth it. The central tower was a nice walk through. The battlements and torture chamber were long waits for what they were. We went on a Sunday, so it's about what we expected for the crowds. I suggest going on a weekday if you can. The whole event is a bit pricey, but you definitely get a one of a kind experience.
