This place was my number one priority while visiting Las Vegas for my first time. A friend had told me about it and his description sold me on coming here before I even looked it up. Then we watched a ton of YouTube videos about the place (some on their YouTube channel and some uploaded by customers.) Basically we hyped it up in our minds quite a bit in the weeks before coming to Vegas. I have to say that after experiencing it first hand that it more than lived up to my expectations.
Now I am not a car guy so much as I am into motorcycles and while I enjoy going fast my priority wasn't to get any particular top speed or to get an amazing lap time. I let the instructor know that so he would know how hard to push me. He was very helpful and listening to his instructions while driving wasn't as difficult as I feared when nervous at high speeds. After the first couple of laps I definitely built up a little confidence and started to anticipate his instructions and get on the gas a little harder when he said to accelerate. My real goal was to say that I had driven a Lamborghini and to have a great time. Mission accomplished.
We also both did the Corvette drifting experience (They gave us a buy one get one 50% off so for $50 extra I got to do the drifting as well. I considered that a no brainer. Oh and since I bought the video of my driving I got the video of the drifting free as well.) I have to say that we both absolutely loved the drifting experience and the driver (Jason) was so cheerful and pleasant that he made the experience that much more enjoyable. At one point in the track he reached out for a fist bump and my adrenaline was so spiked I didn't realize what he was doing for a solid minute and then had to ask "oh... Was that a fist bump?" My lady had a perma grin during and after her ride.
There is no doubt that this is money well spent. They say that statistically people are happier when they spend money on experiences rather than things.
The one thing I recommend to the owner of I could is that I would have liked the option to purchase the unedited raw footage as well as the edited version. As a video editing and special effects artist myself I would have loved that so that I could piece together my own edit. I would even pay extra for that option if it were available. I had that option provided to me when skydiving a while back and didn't mind paying extra for the raw footage.
