Cozy space, health conscious eats, and a long wait time. Communitea Cafe is a nice spot to grab hot tea and chat with a friend or order a vegetarian-centric, gluten-free meal.
This place is pretty decent but it can become pretty crowded and harder to find tables for larger parties. I enjoyed the meal which included a portobello, pesto & gruyere panini with roasted red peppers served with "organic" popcorn. My wife got the turkey, apple, and cheddar panini with a side of curried butternut squash soup. The meal was pretty tasty and the sandwiches were made well. The soup of the day was interesting but the curry flavor was subtle did not suit the sweet flavors of butternut squash as I personally did not like it. The wait time for food was also too long for a sandwich order at around 30+ minutes as I had to ask for an estimate before I received my food. Overall, Communitea is a nice place to visit and has a decent menu to choose from in which the sandwiches were good but just expect to wait a bit. Meals can be around $10-15 per plate.
