Roger Peter Review of World Bird Sanctuary
Did you know of a bird sanctuary for rescued feath...
Did you know of a bird sanctuary for rescued feathered friends that isn't too far from the St. Louis mainland? Well, now you know.
The sanctuary is on your way to the Lone Elk Park and is a beautiful stop if you decide to go by there. They have a large variety of birds that they've rescued from far and wide and the brief history and trivia for each bird in there.
The whole sanctuary is wheel chair accessible. They have a gift shop too. Entry is free to the place but you can always leave a something. You can also use the Schucks scrip card to automatically donate some proceeds to the World Bird Sanctuary if you'd like to when you're back home to your grind.
The place has an amphitheatre too so you can also plan a birthday or a get together at this venue. There's a trail of you like hiking in the woods right in the middle of the park.
The park closes at 5 so you should plan to get there on time so you have enough time to soak in the sights.
