My family and I went here to celebrate my sister and my husband's return from Afghanistan. We picked this place based off it ratings. We were sadly mistaken. We had hopes of enjoying a daiquiri, but were only allowed to drink drinks inside the restaurants, not even on the restaurant's outside patio area that was completely empty. This meant that we would have to get all four kids and 6 adults out of the slides, or pool to sit inside a dark musky restaurant, just while we drank our drinks in what felt like a time-out.

Then we waited in line for food, at one of the stands that was only intermittently tended by staff. Finally getting to the front of the line, and by then starving, we go to order and we are told that you can only purchase food with "buccaneer bay bucks." To get said "bucs" you would have to go to an "ATM." The ATM was actually just the register in the gift shop, where they charged you for the $40 that you "withdrew." When asked how much we should get in "buccaneer bucs" we were told to get $40 and if we didn't use it all then we could get reimbursed for the remaining amount. Due to the stands only being intermittently staffed, we were left with $28 when it was time to leave we headed to the stand to be reimbursed.

There we were told that they will not buy back out "buccaneer bucs" and that their staff member was wrongly informing us. (That staff member was a manager.) Not wanting to leave with $28 in useless "buccaneer bucs" we had to sell them back to other patrons waiting to buy the useless cash. Upon leaving we requested to speak with another manager to explain the misinformation, and hopes that they could retrain their staff or create a better system and offer better service.

We were met with a manager that literally laughed at us, and said that we lied. The worse part was the supervising manager went so far as to laugh at us for asking about military pricing. The whole trip was to be about celebrating the homecoming of my husband and my brother in law. We were with our kids, and wanted to make sure they had the best trip possible. Instead we were treated like we were scum. I have never had such as horrible experience in any establishment, ever. I recommend that you take your family elsewhere, as this place is mediocre at best, but their service is horrendous.
