Arrived yesterday. The reviews were all pretty spot on. Yes, it s an older hotel/motel but it s really well maintained. When we checked in we found out it was happy hour in their lounge (which was unexpected because it s not really in season yet, so that was cool). The owners were super friendly and welcoming. The room overall was nice and comfortable. Again, older but clean and maintained. We had an issue where we couldn t figure out the heating but that was user error. Once we asked at the front desk we figured it out. They later called the room to make sure we had gotten it situated. Overall the stay has been great and we ll definitely stay again. The one or two negative reviews I found seemed to be from people who expected the Hilton, which it s not. All the other reviews let me know exactly what to expect and that s what we got. Definitely a lot of charm and a great beachside spot. I can see why people keep coming back. Bonus, even thoogh it wasn t summer (so no breakfast served) it s super close to a lot of great breakfast spots.
