I received less than stellar service from Dr. Tubb...

I received less than stellar service from Dr. Tubbs' office staff. My first interaction with the scheduling person, Caren, was that she was irritated by me calling and interrupting her day. I put that aside, as I needed to find a new Dr. I was told that I would receive a patient portal link that I would need to fill out prior to my appt. Well, I never received it, so I took the initiative and called the office the day before my appt. and told them so. I found out that my email was incorrect in their system. I was informed by Caren that she would send it to me immediately. So I waited and received nothing. I checked my email again the next day (the morning of my appt.) and still received nothing. So I went about my day and figured that I would go in 15 min. early to fill out paperwork. So I got there 15 min. early, only to be told by the office manager (via the receptionist) that I could NOT be seen that day, because I hadn't filled out my patient portal and "I" would make the Dr. too far behind in his schedule if I tried filling it out then. I asked if there was any paperwork that I could just fill out, and was told "no" that I needed to fill out the patient portal first and then paperwork at the office and that would take 30 min. I was there 15 min. early, mind you, but wasn't even given the option. I was just told I couldn't be seen. I cannot tell you how flabbergasted and completely FRUSTRATED I was with this, as if it were MY fault that I didn't receive the patient portal link in time before my appt., even though I called and asked for it again the day BEFORE my appt. They made no offer to make things right or reschedule or anything. Again, I was just an inconvenience. So I would NEVER recommend this office because of its unprofessional front office staff. I can't tell you how Dr. Tubbs is as a doctor, as I was never allowed to see him. But an unprofessional front office staff sets the precedence for how people consider a doctor to be. Such an incredibly frustrating experience.
