I haven't been here in awhile and decided to stop in tonight. While I have read all of the nice things people have to say I cannot agree.

I ordered the fish and chips and boy was I disappointed. The fish would have been tasty if the oil in the fryer had been changed recently. The breading/batter was dark brown like it was burnt but the fish inside was cooked perfectly. Too bad it tasted like nasty old oil. I could go on about the old dirty oil and make excuses for the restaurant like "maybe it's like that on Sundays" or "maybe they change it on the fourth Monday of the month" but I'll stop cause I think you get the idea. Oh the fish was hot but the fries were cold.

I did get comped $5.00 And I should have just sent it back. So I'll take the blame for eating a piece and a half of the fish and two fries.
I don't think we will be back anytime soon. Should have gone to one of the many other restaurants Oxford has to offer.
