The Finance team when I bought a Jeep with my husband in early June 2019 was incredulous. Once we had decided to get the Jeep, the Sales guy, Michael, took us to see Kat, the Finance lady. She was so talkative and nice, she already run our credit because she commented how excellent it was, asking about our kids and how she skirts paying property taxes in AZ by calling someone in Oklahoma to do process her payment there because it's cheaper. All kinds of bubbly. Then, we decided not to get the extended warranty on the Jeep and Kat's mood changed to frosty cold, much more subdued and then even insulted us when asking a final time, " Your choice, but I like to save my money" when we told her again we didn't want the extended warranty. That was June 1, 2019.

I could have let that go.

I checked my credit score and saw that the finance company, Fifth Third Bank, actually ran a hard inquiry on the 5th and again on the 6th. The 6th, was the same day I got a lot of calls and even a text message from the sales guy that they "lost" my SSN and needed it again. They lost it. Really?

I tried calling just now, and the automated menu is all I get, no matter what option I choose - the last option I picked said the sales department was "closed" on Sunday - yet their website says they are open.

I will try again on Monday while I send a letter to all involved including the credit bureaus.

Unbelievable and not only would never ever go there again, I would caution anyone going there.
