The only thing they really care about is to try and have an image that they are a resort. Almost all their nurses are LPNs who are not trained for subacute care and most of them are fairly very new nurses. The nurses they have are very nice and attractive to fit their aesthetic atmosphere they desire. Sadly they can t legally do an assessment or care plan legally by federal regulations. The very few Rns they do have do not have time to review all the LPNs work. Understaffing is the norm. At night much of the time there is only one Lpn for the whole building that was not built to be conducive or safe for 1 nurse. And rarely do the LPNs ever have enough respect for that one nurse or the patients to stay over and help or come in early or even pick up extra shifts to help. I m afraid something bad will eventually happen there and it s frustrating because it doesn t have to be that way if owner could look past her wallet.
