Went to the ER in excruciating pain in my stomach ...

Went to the ER in excruciating pain in my stomach and cold/ flu symptoms about 2am on 10-19-19. When the person took my blood pressure In triage my BP was 186/123 which is considered a hypertensive emergency. During the 4 hours at the ER my BP was not check again which I found very strange. On top of that the Doctor Phu I believe his name was was very rude and made me feel as though he wanted to get me out of there as fast as he could. He even tried to advise against a CT scan saying I would be there for hours. I told him I still wanted the CT which seemed to annoy him. I told him that I had been suffering from a cough / cold and was concerned that maybe my hernia was stuck. He replied if your hernia was stuck you d be throwing up and not be able to stop My mom mentioned that maybe I also needed some antibiotics for my cold. Dr phu was very condescending and made us feel uncomfortable asking questions. He responded I don t know why everyone thinks they need antibiotics when they get a cold. It s a virus and the antibiotics would not work Then Dr Phu proceeded to rudely ask me haven t you ever had a cold before? . My mom was with me and witnessed all this disorganization. She even went to several nurses to request more pain meds and to advise that they needed to check my BP because my face was really red and I was doubled over in pain but all her requests were ignored. At 6am someone came in to tell me that all my labs and CT looked good and I was being discharged. Also I heard the doctor talking to the nurse about my BP being 186/123 and the doctor asked frantically 186/123??? Then I heard the nurse say okay I ll change it without even taking my blood pressure again. When I followed up with my PCP on the following Wednesday, turns out I had and have had bronchitis/pneumonia and yes antibiotics were necessary during the time of my ER visit and I could have gotten the care I needed at the time if the ER doctor would have just listened or did further evaluation. My PCP was also concerned about my blood levels, especially my Lipase and would like to follow up on possible pancreatitis or possible kidney issue given the type of pain I was experiencing and the other blood levels. Also going over the CT scan with me it shows that there were findings in abnormalities in my lungs which was never addressed with me. They just sent me on my way. Also my BP is of concern and my Dr upped my BP meds Fortunately I didn t have a stroke but could have due to the negligence at Corona Regional Medical Center. I plan on filing a complaint with the medical board and will be seeking legal advice.
