I usually won't go online to write negative reviews, but the service at Latham is unusual. I travel and stay at a hotel in numerous cities every week due to work. I booked the stay at Latham via a 3rd party hotel app that charges you for the room ahead of time. When I got to the front desk to check in, the gentlemen started to get nervous and angry at me stating there were no rooms and the 3rd party app was to call them first. I asked the gentlemen if he could not find a room, it would not be a serious problem because there were numerous hotels within 1 block away. At this point, he stated he would find me a room and would park my car for free at their garage. 47 minutes later, I was in my room. I was upset it took so long, but rationalized that the gentlemen really went out of his way to get me a room. The room was standard and clean. No complaints here.

A week has passed and I check my bank account and not only has the 3rd party app charged me for the room, but also the hotel. I call the hotel and am transferred to accounting. (4th person I was transferred to). Politely, I ask that they refund one of the charges because I was charged twice. After a long hold, representative stated she saw the mistake and would correct only a portion because I had parked my car. I politely stated that it was offered free of charge. She stated she could not verify that and I would not get a refund for it. Politely again, I asked her to verify with the gentlemen that worked that shift and once verified she could go ahead and credit me the parking. She stated she would not because it was policy.

The gentlemen I am, I did not raise my voice at her once. I will now call my bank and waste another 30 mins of my life after this 5 minute review.
