Marival Emotions was an awful experience for our family vacation.

The rooms had terrible functionality and quality. Most upsetting, the hotel room was designed without a door to the bathroom area. The room was small, which is not ideal, but an open concept while traveling with multiple people is uncomfortable. I would rather the room appear more cramped and offer basic privacy. The beds were poor; so small, kids were rolling out. Also, no mattress protectors on the beds which is inviting disaster, as the cleanliness and housekeeping services were lacking.

The food options were bleak. The a la carte restaurants had limited availability and the hotel had no reasonable system of informing us if the reservations were accepted. Forced to eat at the buffet, the quality was low. Even simple food like pancakes and pasta were inedible. There was no bottled water in the entire resort. All of the family got sickness that lasted well beyond our stay.
