It's been 7 weeks since I applied and the only response I've received is an email 4 weeks ago saying we're processing your claim and will notify you. My son has been unemployed for a few weeks in Minnesota and is receiving regular payments. Unfortunately, in our state, Florida Republicans have intentionally set up the worst unemployment system in the country. Republicans don't like unemployed people because we are assumed to be deadbeats who don't have fancy yachts or make generous campaign contributions. Besides, our Governor, ignoring my case and the facts, says unemployed people are to blame for their poorly prepared paperwork. Yep, that's it.
