Overall, my score would have been a little higher ...

Overall, my score would have been a little higher since the water slides were fun and not crowded and the people were nice, but the place is infested with golf carts being driven not just by adults, but by kids learning to drive so they zip around everywhere at all hours often packed with people. We even had a couple of them crash as they were chasing each other and the rangers had to come help them out. So the rangers are actually even worse because they were FLYING on their gas powered ATV which are much faster than the electric golf carts. I guess the signs indicating a speed limit of 5 1/2 MPH doesn't apply to them? The cabin we were in was ok, but it had a funky musty smell that never left. Also the fire ring was only half usable since on one side there was a steep drop-off down to the road. When we got there, there were still ashes smoldering in the fire ring and loads of cigarette buts and some wrappers around the fire ring area. There was also an active visible wasp nest on the porch and a carpenter bees nest in the rafters which makes me question how well they clean and check on the facilities. And why they couldn't put any treads or anything to help make the wood ramp less slippery....it was as slick as ice when it was wet or damp and everyone in my family slid and fell on it regardless of how carefully we were walking. Stuff like the things I've mentioned are really basic which is why I only gave it 2 stars.
