Two of us stayed at the Lajitas Golf Resort because we ran the Big Bend Ultra in Jan 2019. There were only a couple of issues about our stay. The WIFI service was non existent, we could not get connected to WIFI unless we walked across the street to the lobby. The hotel did send someone over to try and get us connected but it never worked. We do not mind being unplugged but when you have two women on their own with no cell service and no WIFI we felt a little insecure just in case anyone had to be reached for an emergency. The second issue was on event day our room was not cleaned until 4:30pm. That is a problem when one has just ran 18 miles and the other just ran 30 miles. Another suggestion would be to have a heated pool, boy would we have loved to gone for a swim. Or maybe add a hot tub on the property.

There was plenty good things about this resort and if I were ever to go back to Big Bend I would definitely stay at Lajitas. The rooms were really nice and we appreciated the mini refrigerator. The grounds were kept pristine and we loved the courtyard feel. The main restaurant was really good. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the buffets for dinner. The taco and hamburger buffet were perfect after doing long runs. The staff was very friendly and recommended a driving tour to see the scenery. Overall the stay was wonderful I would just try to get a room closer to the lobby / main building
