The quality of experience here hasn't gotten better, there's a lot of decisions that the university has made in the wake of covid19 that I believe make no impact on the spread of covid that severely inconvenience students. The adjustments of the pollak library, they've introduced "pods" instead of tables, as a result there isn't enough seating. They've removed seating from multiple areas outside of the library as well, such as the student recreation center. They've updated their recreation app, now it crashes non-stop, you're lucky if can load it, it will crash at the first press. If you use android the school wifi is impossibly painful to connect to. The student dining area is packed with people shoulder to shoulder without masks. Which makes it very odd how everyone places them back on the second they walk outside. The arts department is severely in need of a remodeling, however considering the remodels of all of the other areas, I wouldn't be surprised if they ignore all of the students requests and needs in pursuit of aesthetics. The prices are far too high considering how dysfunctional the schools facilities are and how much of the teaching is online, which often feels like the professor is just there to make sure you log on, and besides that you're doing the equivalent of paperwork. There are a few faculty who are legendary teachers, but the majority are tenured and tired. If it wasn't for them, this review would be 2 stars.
