Just a heads up that the City of Altoona is un-willing to work with the citizens in the city on utilities. I had sent a bill-pay payment from an account that I only had a savings account from in error and a check was sent anyways, so that check was returned - the notification I received from the bank did not indicate a check being sent. I was proactive and wrote another check to the City of Altoona from my other account which was cleared ON TIME. As the original check was returned (again I did not know a check was sent) the City of Altoona tagged my door with a "NOTIFICATION THAT MY WATER "WILL BE" TURNED OFF IF THE THE $15.00 NON-SUFFICIENT FUNDS CHECK WASN'T PAID" I did call the number they gave me and left a message and to NO surprise never heard back from the City of Altoona so I had to call again and the excuse that was used for NO return phone call was they were busy putting out RED Tags today!
