Nice zoo that definitely seems to be in trouble with their animals. All animals looked good and satisfied.

The zoo is clearly concerned with sustainability (found on their website). They try to use as much renewable energy / self-generating. It is like unpacking the oceanarium and rightly so! There are so many solar panels that they stay cool with the penguin.

At the time of the visit just matured polar bears were separated from their mother. One of them was diving in the water and "playing" with the children at the window. Suddenly swimming upstairs and diving in front of the window, hanging on to it (I wonder how he did it) and throwing up water. However, his brother was running around nervously at the edge of the loft and calling for the mother. Too bad thing, but of course understand that this is their good for the animals.
The island with monkeys was also nice to see. They were accidentally fed by the caretakers, who gave each monkey food by hand, and for some, medication or the like was injected. It was especially funny to see how some monkeys went out of their way to get extra food (either by throwing or trying to steal it). Good work of carers, each monkey so in order to keep!

Too bad it is so far ahead of Belgians, but I'll definitely be back!
