I ve been here for 10 years. I m not able to say it was hard to make friends here because I ve spent my whole life at John Wai. It s just been a routine I look forward to coming here every day even though quarantine has stopped me I am still able to do class online. Every instructor is so amazing and make people want to come back. It s so fun when we get to go to tournament the instructors make you feel so comfortable like it s just practice. And your their with your friends so it s even better. I ve competed since I was seven and I ve won and gotten hurt but that doesn t make me want to quit since I lost. It makes me want to train harder to win next year. I remember the first time and went to tournament and I get hit pretty hard in the head and you weren t supposed to hit hard to make their head go back so sifu pulls me to the side and goes, You ve trained for this, this is what you strive for. And I remembered that every time I go and compete. I could go on and on on how amazing every instructor has been throughout my life it s just like a family in the gym even if I had problem outside of the gym I know they would be their for me. Thank you sifu for being such an amazing person.
