Don't be fooled by the fancy building, it is all lipstick on a pig. I took my car in to repair the air conditioner. After a couple of hours I get a call that my AC is fine and only needs freon (a more than $200 repair for some reason). I told him that freon doesn't leak from a closed system and that he must have missed something (or likely did nothing at all). I told him that they should look for the leak before just filling it up and sending the car out. He told me that they did all they could do and that I could either pay $200 for freon or $85 for diagnostics (a diagnostic which was obviously not done). I allowed him to fill up the car against my better judgment and now a couple months later the freon has leaked out again and blown my compressor. What could have been a $5 leak repair found by a simple dye test has turned into a estimated $1,700 repair all because this shop failed to do even the most basic troubleshooting for a freon leak. I should have taken it to Jiffy Lube and had a high school stoner teenager look at the car because I would have revived the same expertise.
