I feel their vets are inexperienced and they are not equipped for serious emergencies.
Our dog was attacked by another dog BADLY in the throat and front legs. They cleaned his wounds, gave us a huge bill and sent us home with antibiotics/ pain meds while our dog was still struggling to even breath and couldn't stand. I was not comfortable taking him home since it was obvious he was in bad shape. His breathing was so poor early the next morning we rushed him back in before we even could give him the first dose of meds.
After the second day (which took many more hours) they finally admitted we should probably travel to an emergency vet in Milwaukee who would be better equipped- but not until they gave us a second huge bill. Our dog spent another day fighting for his life while we transported him and then the vets in Milwaukee had him on around the clock care as soon as we walked in the door just trying to even stabilize him. I feel like all the time wasted at this Green Bay vet could have been used by a competent vet to save our dog's life and not prolong his suffering. He ultimately ended up dying from becoming septic.
I would at least have respect for Green Bay if they admitted they weren't equipped or experienced enough to handle this and sent us somewhere else as soon as we came in.
To add insult to injury while we were rushing to Milwaukee we left behind the unused medications
Green Bay sent us home with the first night. Of course they wouldn't reimburse us for them but they were kind enough to mail the meds to us so we had to dispose of them after he died. Thousands of dollars to watch our dog die a horrible heartbreaking death while they were useless.
