Toyota surprised me with a new replacement for a dashboard problem, that was an unexpected pleasure. It was the actual service that began to drive me nuts. The dash was replaced and I was asked to return the next morning to install a clamp, would be a fast fix. I asked if they could call to let me know if it was available, didn't need to it would be in. Came in the next morning and was told that the clip was on backorder, really what is wrong with picking up the phone or sending an email, I don't live by Sun Toyota. I then was told that the part would be in but they would have to contact me when it arrived. I hadn't heard from toyota and decided to call, you guessed it, part had come in and no one had let me know. Up to then everyone was very apologetic and tech had said it would be a guick fix and I would be done. Funny that when I did come in they even tried to determine if they would charge me for the clip, apparently they don't put the information into their system. Will see how long the quick fix actually takes, already been 30 minutes and have a feeling they are hunting the part. I did ask the young lady on the phone to be sure that the part was available and had my name on it when I made the appointment. They could document much better and contact customers when they determine that work can not be done, driving back and forth is not my idea of fun. Again, thank you for the replacement dash, but please work with your dealers on customer service. I am glade that I wasn't having something major being worked on.
