This is the 5th year we have visited Bengston s Pumpkin Farm and we have always loved it! This year however was a huge disappointment. We were there yesterday among what felt like thousands and thousands of people. It was a horrible experience and a complete waste of $100. This pumpkin farm was overcrowded waaaay past their limit and when we left there were still lines of people waiting to get in. We were there for 6 hours and my kids only went on 3 rides due to the 1 hour plus wait for the rides. The corn box had so many people in it we had a difficult time finding a small patch for my boys to play. Other kids were whipping and throwing corn in all directions. My husband and I received many rounds of field corn in our faces and my son got hit in the eye with a flying piece of corn. It was complete chaos in that corn box! We waited in line 30 minutes for food and spent another $70.00 for lunch only to find there were no tables available to eat it at. There were so many people there we could hardly walk around the place! There were also long waits for the porta potties. When we got so tired from the crowds and wanted to get some ice cream, the line was so darn long we finally gave up and went home. It even took us awhile to make our way to the exit because of the crowds and one of my kids was crying because he didn t get to go on more rides. We are going to definitely consider other options for pumpkin farms next year. Isn t there a safety limit for how many people you should let into this place? Sheesh! I can t believe we spent that much money only to come home so tired and aggravated. I am sure there were many unhappy guests at this pumpkin farm yesterday.
