Get a Docent and/or Guided Tour - It is near impossible to really enjoy the Barnes without a guided tour, as there are no placards, except for a proportionately few with number for use with the audio guide, but even that only describes one painting per twenty. Very heavy on Renoir and the impressionists, but our favorites were the Modigliani's, the early Picasso's, and the late post-Impressionist Renoir. Their gift shop was a highlight, as we were tempted to purchase a limited-run print, and bought several other smaller items.
