Arriving at 1:55 pm this past Saturday with a 2 pm...
Arriving at 1:55 pm this past Saturday with a 2 pm reservation for 4 with my wife and our mothers for a nice lunch we were kindly advised that a table was being prepared for us. Nothing surprising, however, it was 15 minutes later until we were finally shown to our table. If the restaurant was so busy they could not honour a reservation why offer the reservation in the first place?
Arriving in the dining area we were surprised to find half the room was empty. Perhaps it was the girl at reception who left her post for some 10 minutes who had to clean the table rather than the dining room staff?
We read the menu and promptly ordered an appetizer for the group and our main courses. With at least a 10 minute wait for a beer in an obviously not-so-busy dining room our app finally arrived and was as expected delicious.
With about a 30 to 40 minute wait with our waiter walking past our table no more than 3 times without noticing the empty appetizer plate we were finally given our main courses.
The food was great but two plates came out with about a 5 minute wait until the second set arrived.
When our waiter finally showed an interest in our table again we asked for the bill so we could leave. Over 90 minutes for an app and main course was too much to bear. Another 45 minutes maybe for a dessert? NO THANKS!
