Great place. Rustic. The kids loved it. Lots of spots to have a picnic. FREE. Also conveniently located beside Lone Elk park, also free! For a short hike to a neat spot, take the Hickory Trail down to the bottom of the hill, head left on the gravel road to the Tunnel Trail and follow the tunnel trail under the railroad bridge and to the Meramec River. Nice spot. Give yourself about an hour to hike it, and take a bottle of water.
