Generally the hotel and the staff should be at least rated with 4/5 stars. But at least 2 stars have to be drawn off because:
1) Bad smell: When entering the room I was facing an old, cold cigarette smell - eventhough the room was claimed to be non smoking. Also in the bathroom the outflow of the bathtub smelled extremely musty.
2) Pricing. Expensive rooms - okay, we're talking about a 5-star-hotel in the center of Shanghai. BUT: before checking out I was having a last double-shot espresso at the hotel-bar. Also here I would not expect the the price to be in a cheap range, but 118RNB is way too much. In this is 15,20 . Compared with a normal price of 2,40 , we're talking about a factor of 6,3, which, from my point of view is also unacceptable for a 5-star hotel.
