One of the reasons we moved to Battle Creek was because Lakeview Schools have a great reputation. But then we got excited about all of the innovative changes and commitment from WKKF to Battle Creek Schools. We ended up moving into the district and my son now attends the STEM Innovation Center, a middle school. I have been impressed time and time again by the teachers - whether virtual or in-person - they are amazing. The first day of in-person school, the principal recognized my son (even with a mask on) and greeted him by name! The district really cares about families, especially in the pandemic - they send kids home with food. Lakeview is great, but we've really found a school-home at Battle Creek Public Schools.
