A specialist asked me to have a neurological examination performed. Because I thought that the ophthalmologist could already recommend that to me, I went to the emergency department of AZ Damiaan in Ostend that same evening. Based on my complaints (since 3 March I can only raise my eyelids with great difficulty) the nurses took an ECG and spiked blood with a catheter, without seeing a doctor. Then came the emergency doctor who wanted to await the results of the analysis (she didn't think it was a neurological problem). After 2.5 hours the emergency doctor called me and told me in the hall that the blood analysis was good. I left with the catheter still in my veins to the parking to return to ask to remove it ....
