My husband and I purchased our first car with Toyota Knoxville 3 weeks ago and wish we had a better experience. There were several issues beginning with the young, inexperienced, salesman we had all the way to upper management but the biggest issues is that we have now been lied to multiple times.

A few weeks prior we had been to another dealership where we were about to purchase a car and a local credit union had approved us with a good interest rate. Later, when purchasing a different car at Toyota Knoxville, the Toyota staff stated that the best interest rate they received was from someone else. We asked about the credit union we wanted and Toyota told us that they offered us a very high interest rate because we were first time buyers. After buying the car, We called the credit union and they checked their records. To our surprise they told us that the rate they offered us was lower, actually about half of what Toyota had reported to us.

After learning this information, we called and spoke with the sales manager who we worked with and he again told us a different rate than the one the credit union confirmed to us. He said he no longer had the exact information but this time he gave us a different rate, a significantly lower one than he had told us the day we purchased the car. We have called Toyota several times trying to get in contact with the General Sales Manager to resolve this issue but have not received a call back. While we are happy with the car we bought, if you consider shopping with Toyota Knoxville double check any information they give you because this staff is not working in your best interest.

UPDATE: More lies. No one has been in contact with us. This dealership has no regard for their customer's needs. If we were told someone would be in contact with us the least they could do was make sure that someone would give us a call to resolve the issue. We are sure no one has called us because there is no excuse for the problem we encountered.
