First off, I'm a big fan of Harrigan's, so I'm a bit bummed that I went for the first time to this newly-opened location for a specially hosted, private room party before they had a chance to get settled in. It was also on a Friday night, and everyone else in town evidently wanted to celebrate their paychecks by checking out the new place too. It was crowded, and busy, and they were obviously overwhelmed. We did have to wait a long time for our food. They did run out of shrimp. The poor people outside did have to wait for a table. BUT...(and PLEASE take the following as the review portion) it was an amazing experience. They handled it all beautifully, and with class, even making concessions to make up for the problems that were caused simply because they are so popular. Any inconvenience that night was at no fault of Harrigan's. I blame the population of Lubbock! :) All of the food was perfect, consistent with their usual fine quality and taste, and in the end, I heard no one complain about their dinner. If they can pull off what they did that evening, imagine what your special night out at Harrigan's will be like when the masses aren't stampeding the place! Good job guys! I can't wait to get back for another meal.
