We were looking for something not so touristy in Bergen and this place was close to where we were staying. Wonderfully picturesque, overlooking the harbour, the USF, or United Sardine Factory, offers a little place called Kippers. There was plenty of outside sitting for the summer months and every effort was made for guests to enjoy their meal outdoors, with blankets, overhead heaters, and umbrellas to keep the rain and sun from disrupting your dining experience. They feature a DJ outside to spin some tunes, and on the Friday night we were there, there was a Norwegian rapper laying down his F-bomb laden rhymes. Probably not for everyone.
