Our first visit from Alphen aan den Rijn to Alrijne Leiden since the merger for a preliminary study for an operation.
Why we had to go all the way to Leiden is not clear to me and the parking area for guests was only to be found after we did not get any further on the closed section for staff. The preliminary investigation consisted of visiting various functions, such as measuring the physical condition, the nursing for admission and a doctor. The staff were personable and competent and the waiting times between the various visits were very bad. Coffee, tea and soft drinks were offered in the waiting room. One day before the operation another blood test should take place, now in Leiderdorp and on Sundays between 10.30 and 11.00 because the operation is on Monday. Afterwards we ate a nice sandwich croquette in the restaurant.
