Been to several different clinics in 3 different states ive been to 5 in the Chicago area. 2 of the 5 were actual treatment centers and not just legal spots. El Rincon being the better of the two, the other being therapeutic interventions in rolling medows. It has come down to staff. A decent counselor that works in methadone maintenence is rare but,a phenomenal counselor is like a unicorn! So rare you start to believe it just doesn't exist. But El Rincon on grand has a few! Louis Santiago is one of the most compassionate,knowledgeable,understanding,down to earth,tell you what you need to hear not what you want to hear,but with respect and dignity, people i know. He has made a huge impact on my life. But not only the counselors everybody from the front desk and admin to security and nursing staff are great! If by some chance someone is rude or has bad communications skills,it is so easy to work it out. George is amazing! As long as you are putting forth effort and trying This clinic will do everything and then some to get you the help you need.

UPDATE** As per Margherita, clinical Manager ,El Rincon no longer does or cares about Harm Reduction. So if Harm Reduction is important to you or your looking for help to substain a normal life while putting together the tools to sustain absentence eventually look elsewhere. The clinic has a bevy of amazing counselors, Doctors, nurses, and admin. There are now a few who care more for the stats than the real life effects of their patients. I no longer know if the clinic cares to change lives for the better or just ensure complete abstinence.
