I am an Overseas Pakistani from the UK. It Took me 3 months to lift the Dormancy on my account in Pakistan. 1. Best Tip is to make sure someone is making a deposit into the account each month to save it from the 'Dormancy Crisis' - lots of running around to solicotors / high commission and FCO for attestations of papers and then to courier them to the bank in karachi. 2. So my best advice to SC bank is to prepare an idiot's guide on how to prepare your papers in order to get your Dormancy Lifted and your account regularised. Currently no such writtend guidelines exist on the pk website. By having them, will save people time and money. Will also provide a great service. Thank you for listening Standard Chartered.
