I decided to try this place out for a title transfer because of the high reviews that this business has. I can see why the owner Kamran Khan Rana gets complimented; he's fast and friendly but on my visit he was deceptive.

I wanted to give my auto title to my brother as a gift with the $10 fee. Mr. Rana said that the law has changed and it is no longer possible to do that so I must pay the taxes of the car with him. Before I went to The Texas Auto Title Company, I gathered all my paperwork from the Texas Comptroller website so this couldn't be true! So that set off some alarms. I told him this and then he states that titles can only be passed from a mother or father. I corrected him again and states that siblings is also included. So then he says he is not able to provide me the service of title transfer via gift and tells me to go to the downtown courthouse or pay the tax on the car with him at his office. I left and went to a local harris county justice court and got it done there with no hassle.

I understand the guys' gotta make money but not with lies.
