This place just is not at all what it used to be a few years ago and I think it really showed when they opened up a second location and ended up having to shut it down.

I used to get a sandwich and a smoothie here once a week, then switched to a different place due to the price difference and when I came back a few months later it was terrible, the food quality had tanked and their selection was cut in half.

I tried it again about a year later today and got an Iced Carmel Mocha and a chocolate chip cookie since they didn t have anything I used to get there and they were absolutely awful. It seems like they frothed the milk in an ice drink (which you never do) and it resulted in white chunks on the top of the drink. The cookie tasted like a stale butter cookie that you get out of the sampler tins.

They have fallen into the same category as 209, and a few other local places that cater to the niche hipster audience and alter their menu and and mission that put them where they are today. If The Cabin does not go back to a roots and cater to the people that actually made them a successful enough business to open a second location I doubt that they will be around for much longer.
