Dr. Lewis and her team are incredible. I contacted several different psychiatrists offices and the only one that seemed to care enough to get an appointment set up for me were the lovely people at Community Christian Counseling. Not only that, but they got me in very, very fast.

Dr. Lewis was incredible. She's incredibly thorough and kind. She's the first mental health professional to ever make me feel heard and validated. When she asked questions and I went into long explanations it didn't feel like she was just trying to rush me through them, it actually felt like she was listening to every minute word and that meant the world to me. I have never felt so validated in my life and by the time I left she had me beaming with renewed hope. I'm truly grateful her practice exists.

Don't let the fact that she runs her practice out of the church deter you. In all honesty, as someone who isn't very religious I was nervous at first too, but it was actually extremely comfortable. The people who worked for the church itself were also very warm, inviting, and friendly - so don't be afraid. I've seen a psychiatrist in a clinical setting previously as well, but I was nowhere near as comfortable as I was here. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and honestly that really helped calm my nerves.
