I have great respect for police officers, but some of the officers working at this department need training on how to deal with the public. We were at an event on Saturday that was ruined because of their inability to communicate. The police officers who showed up handled the situation very poorly. There was even an officer who resorted to using violence.A family had spent thousands of dollars on an event celebrating their child s birthday and it was abruptly canceled due to unconfirmed claims from the greedy woman running the venue. Guests were run off. Some of us were not even allowed to take our belongings. Worst yet one of these officers was even laughing at people. She seemed to take pleasure in destroying this celebration. Unfortunately, officers sided with a woman who called them because she thought she was losing her alcohol sales and used other excuses to get the police involved. Overall, a whole event should never have been ruined. With some communication maybe the issue could have been resolved.
