My partner and I purchased our first home together...

My partner and I purchased our first home together last year and splurged on having all new engineered hardwood from Summer s Flooring installed throughout the home. Within about 6 months we started to notice the floors were discoloring and showing clear signs of premature deterioration.Upon inspection, Summer s Flooring said they looked like 10 year old floors. In clear further acknowledgement of the premature deterioration, Summers attempted a deep clean on the floors which made no difference. The manufacturer of the flooring we purchased went out of business a year ago and Summers has refused to replace the flooring. I had the owners of two other local flooring companies assess the condition of the floors and spoke to the GM of the manufacturer - all agreed that the floors should not have aged this quickly and that the floors were clearly defective. The previous GM of the manufacturer also noted that the way in which Summers attempted to repair our floors actually locked in the damage further.

After spending almost $20k on these defective floors and the complete lack of support and consideration we have received from Summer s Flooring, I obviously cannot recommend anyone purchase flooring from them.
