Currency Exchange at Mexico City international Airport

I used the currency exchange inside the arrivals area at Mexico International airport. and only later found out that the exchange rate was 30% lower than the international spot rate offered by Visa through ATMs.

I get that these places have lower rates because of their location, but 30% is robbery.

I asked the cashier how competitive their rates were too, but they stretched the truth that they were really competitive.

Don't use then, take money out at the ATM just after customs or use a bank in town.

I ended up using my credit card during my trip.
