I had a very frustrating experience with the Westerville Community Center on 9/15/2014.

I live in Westerville, have the Westerville address on all my bills/IDs and so on, but unfortunately was met with a very confusing explanation that I'm not considered a Westerville resident, when I came to the Community Center to sign-up for the swimming pool. According to that nonsense since I live right on the border of the corporate limits map they provide you, you "probably don't pay Westerville property taxes" and was offered to pay a non-resident fee which is:
a. Obnoxiously expensive
b. Unfairly higher than a "proper Westerville resident's" one

Problem is I DO live in Westerville, pay all my applicable for that area bills and don't have a decent pool around, except that one. But they do not care and don't want to work with you, basically stating that you can be up from Alaska, makes no difference.

I do believe, that for the Community center prices should be more reasonable (I pay almost the same fee for a full-facility access in LA fitness), the broader Westerville residents should have a fair rate compared to the non-residents.
