Battersea Power Station started production in 1933...

Battersea Power Station started production in 1933 and went on producing until, in 1975, Station A was shut down and later, in 1983, Station B was terminated. After prolonged debates as to whether or not to pull down the Battersea Towers that notion foundered, due in no small part to the site s Grade II listed status.

Eventually an acceptable restoration plan was agreed that commenced in 2013 and continues on, with the redevelopment as a whole not scheduled to complete until circa 2025.
