A bit of a walk to get all the way to avenue C but your journey will be well worth it when you walk into a neighborhood beer shop / bar with fantastic bartenders and a really good choice of beers to choose from.

I'd suggest relaxing with a drink in one of the various chairs they've got setup for you to chill in what reminds me of someone's living room. Or just pick up something from the healthy selection of beer you can buy up front.

The bartenders are pretty geekish in their knowledge about beer. Be sure to ask questions!
