I stayed one night at the Inn of Waterloo in an updated standard King room for $110 per night.

Pros: For the price, I think the room and facilities were nice enough. My room looked onto the terrace area, which was quite pretty. The saltwater swimming pool was lovely. The breakfast buffet was decent.

Cons: The shower to use the swimming pool was down a long set of stairs in an isolated basement area. The shower area seemed unused, a little dirty, and I felt uncomfortable and insecure showering there alone (the pool was deserted so there was nobody around.) Next time I would shower in my room before using the pool. An on deck showering station might solve this problem.
-Check in time is 4:00, which I consider to be rather late. I arrived at 2:00 and although the hotel seemed deserted, I was told that no rooms were available yet. I was told that they would let me know when one came available.
I waited in the lounge area until 4:00 when I went to the desk and was able to check in. Somehow a room was ready at exactly 4:00. I could be wrong, but it felt that I was made to wait unnecessarily. Yes, check in time is at 4:00, but if my hotel is empty I'd move my waiting customer into their room as quickly as possible.
