I chose this hotel with the hope, given the apparent good reviews and the category of the hotel (4 stars), to have a good weekend; unfortunately I was wrong! Upon arriving at the hotel we are greeted by the receptionist who, after checking in, shows us the room without anyone accompanying us. Leaving the suitcases we immediately notice that (impossible not to notice it) that the bathroom door, when it opens and closes, gets stuck on the tiles and you have to do a lot of force to close it, but here comes the beauty, the bathroom door not only does not remain closed , but the lock doesn't work either, so it's impossible to close the door! (Being a double room, it gets quite annoying). The lock doesn't work on the room door either.
Next to our room (being a hotel that accepts pets, but clearly without soundproof rooms), there is a dog that barks and howls for about half an hour, disturbing the whole floor! The double bed is nothing more than an embarrassing attempt to keep two single mattresses together, which, not being contained in any way, except with a simple one, divide, creating a gap that does not allow you to sleep. Added to this are practically cardboard cushions and a really annoying background noise all night long!
I would like to point out that I pointed out twice (to the receptionist visibly annoyed, but at the same time embarrassed) both that the bathroom door did not ask and the dog's serenade; I was first told that the door would have it fixed (clearly without anything happening) and that the dog's howling was normal and that it would happen when the owners were not there! After the famous half hour, the friendly hosts have arrived!
I conclude by saying that 1) I am a lover of animals, since I own two dogs, but also of education. 2) I don't know how this hotel has 4 stars, having such low standards 3) I have been going to Champoluc for several years and I guarantee that for the same price you can stay in much better 3/4 star hotels!
